Launch of Becoming Sheroes to support VHO

The book launch of "Becoming Sheroes: Stories of Heartstrong Women" on March 16, 2024 was a momentous occasion that celebrated the resilience and triumphs of Filipino women. Led by Monica Maralit, a renowned professional, author, and speaker, the Filipina Sheroes unveiled their book, which serves as a testament to the inner strength and determination of women.

Gratitude and heartfelt thanks were extended to all the Sheroes who contributed their stories to the book and to the family and friends who supported the project. Maralit expressed hope that their narratives would inspire readers, particularly young women, to embrace their strengths and pursue their purpose with unwavering determination amidst life's challenges.

"Becoming Sheroes," co-authored by Maralit alongside 14 exceptional Filipinas, not only showcases the individual journeys of these women but also highlights the transformative power of embracing one's path and recognizing the resilience that arises from overcoming life's adversities.

During the event, the inaugural group of female youth scholars made their debut. It was an opportunity for these scholars to actively engage in the event, garnering support for their programs, and to interact directly with the authors. As the beneficiaries of the book's proceeds, these young women are poised to receive tangible benefits that will aid in their educational pursuits and personal development.

The Victoria Heartstrong Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by Maralit in honor of her mother and grandmother, aims to empower teenage girls from underprivileged backgrounds through education. Beyond financial assistance, the foundation is committed to providing holistic support, including programs focused on health, wellness, and leadership, to equip scholars with the tools and knowledge to make informed choices for their future endeavors. Maralit emphasized that the foundation's mission is not merely about monetary aid but about fostering a sustainable way of life for the scholars, enabling them to navigate life's challenges and pursue their dreams with confidence and resilience.
